Felice Lesser Dance Theater's "Summer Studio Sketches"/40th Anniversary Kickoff Event
It's the beginning of our 40th Anniversary season and we're going to celebrate, starting with an informal, retrospective studio performance & party at New 42nd Street Studios in Times Square. Join us on July 24th at 7 pm as we take a look back, and toast our company's future.
On the program will be excerpts from our past repertoire (including THE SIRENS' SONG featuring Darius Crenshaw, the "Injuries" section of 2006's I AM A DANCER, reprised by the role's creator, Kristin Licata; "Francesca's Monologue" from 1995's RUNNING BACKWARDS ON THE TREADMILL performed by Debra Zalkind and Mr. Crenshaw; "Reflections" from 2000's NEW YORK, NY, "Tango" from S.L.E.D. (1988) both performed by Dona Wiley, and MORE! Kanae Kusu, Savannah Lee, Danielle Shupe, and Asha Sienkiewicz will also perform. Felice Lesser will talk about her work, and Jessica Lessin (FLDT dancer-2000, current FLDT Board Member, and the Founder of the online technology publication THE INFORMATION), will be the evening's M.C.
After the performance please join us for a reception as we toast our future projects (including the new production of FUNDING THE ARTS, scheduled for the culmination of our birthday year in 2016).
Tickets are extremely limited, so get yours now! General admission is $40, Donor tickets are $100. Both include the performance & party, and Donor tickets give you priority seating.
