Motoring West
Travel back in time to the turn of the 20th century when Americans were hitting the road to explore the West by automobile.
Peter Blodgett, the H. Russell Smith Foundation Curator of Western Historical Manuscripts at The Huntington, will give an engaging talk on his new book, Motoring West: Automobile Pioneers, 1900-1909. After the discussion, there will be a book signing in the Huntington Store. Guests can enjoy period music provided by Corey Gemme and Men in Vests, as well as a display of vintage cars provided by Classic Car Club of America, Petersen Automotive Museum, and the Santa Anita As.
The Café will be open for al fresco dining.
A portion of The Huntington's grounds will be accessible during this event. The rest of the Huntington's grounds will be closed during this event. If you would like to visit all of the gardens and the galleries, please do so during public hours. The Huntington's public hours are 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
