Dub Visions
A foray into some of today's deeper dub sounds, Dub Visions includes the Colorado premier of Spain's Pulshar. Featuring producer Pablo Bolivar with the vocals of Aphro, Pulshar traverses the borders between spacious song craft and the futuristic outer-reaches of the dub-techno universe. Local live pa Normal Ones bring their own brand of vocal-infused, deep dub accompanied by the video visions of offthesky. CMKY welcomes back Mr. Projectile, unveiling his own brand of dub with Movax providing visuals.
Layers of evolving sounds and rich ancestral textures take us on a journey where space and time become intertwined and confused. This is Pulshar, a band formed by Pablo Bolivar, music producer with an extensive discography, and Aphro (Sergio Sainz), composer, visual artist and ex-vocalist of dub and reggae bands.
The two have been working together in the studio since 2007, composing tracks that combine deep soul and old classy dub with space-tech elements. In 2008 they released the "Brotherhood" (Phonobox) album: 10 highly addictive tracks that displayed their critical discernment and fine touch when it comes to distinctive melodic rhythms and cult movies samples. "Brotherhood" was presented at Barcelona's Sonar Festival in 2008 on the same stage where fellow giants of deeply-weighted grooves performed, such as Flying Lotus, Shackleton, Theo Parrish and Buraka Som Sistema. It was the beginning...
Normal Ones perform in stereo or in immersive surround sound environments. In either case, their performances includes live mixing, live sound shaping with effects, live vocals and improvisational placement of sounds in the listening field. Not your average live pa/dance act, Normal Ones are unexpected, futuristic and retro all rolled into one: the creative sum of two lifetimes influenced by decades of participation in underground music from the early 1980's to the present. You may try to pin Normal Ones down to a genre, but it will be an exercise in of itself. Normal Ones - resetting the standard, one day at a time.

Matthew Arnold aka Mr. Projectile has been an influential member of the electronic music community since 1992. Djing and organizing clubs and parties in his hometown of Minneapolis he managed to keep an eclectic edge while always keeping his sights on what was new and interesting within the constantly changing electronic music world. His dedication to electronic music became more apparent when he began hosting the monthly music night in Minneapolis Hello Music which was one of the first minimal techno nights in the country, and now considered seminal by some. He released his first record on the UK's cult label Toytronic Records, which 9 years later has become a classic, known to sell for over $100.00 on ebay. He has gone on to release music on Studio K7, Parotic Records, Merck Records, Om, N5MD, Benbecula, and on his own label Semisexual. He has been organizing, promoting, booking and performing at shows and tours throughout the US for over 13 years. He was nominated for best electronic musician by the Minnesota music awards in 2001.
He has played shows from Dresden, Germany to Missoula, Montana alongside artists such as Plaid, Derrick Carter, EU, Bassnectar, Tipper, Thomas Fehlman, Lâusine, Jonah Sharp, Arovane, and many others. Since itâs inception in 2004, Matt has been a very large part of organizing the now infamous production company Nexus out of the SF Bay area, focusing on helping to create unique environments designed to elevate and deepen the personal experience shared in a proper listening environment. His ever-changing styles of production always manage to keep a deep emotional feel, and a one of a kind thick atmospheric sound that is undoubtedly the result of his well-learned production capabilities. He is currently working on organizing a tour in support of his upcoming album. His show consists of a combination of live improvisation on hardware as well as using Ableton live.
