Ballast Point Brunch at the Toronado San Diego
Come join us for seven courses (and eight different beers) of treats from the sea whipped up by our own Nate Soroko and his roving band of culinary mercenaries/ pirates. Please be advised that each dish will contain and/ or be centered on seafood; there will be no vegetarian or non-seafood options. As an added bonus, attendees will get to walk out with a special Craftbeerd glass that our friend Rudy Pollorena Jr. has designed. What could be better? The menu is as follows:
Escabeche Fried (fish / Bok Choy/ Eggplant / Radish / Red Peppers/ Capers/ Turmeric / Ginger/ Coconut (1st Course beer info still TBD)
Hop-cured Salmon with accoutrements Longfin Lager w/Cucumber
Pan-seared Pacific white fish with Mussels, Potato, Seaweed, and Shallot Calico and barrel-aged Calico Amber
Lobster and crab pot pies Pineapple Sour Wench
Barley Miso Scallop / Smoked Steelhead Roe / Fennel / Yuzu Aloe Vera / Black Sesame / Wakame Crumb Ginger Big Eye IPA
Calamari stuffed with wild boar and sautéed veg Barmy
Grilled Prawns Charred octopus with turnip puree and tomato confit and morel mushrooms Vict'oreos (Victory at Sea with Oreos added) on cask
