The Hookers, Against The Grain, PanzerBastard, Suppressive Fire at Ralph's 06/18/15
The Hookers https://hookersvalhalla.bandcamp.com/ Heavy Metal Thunder from Kentucky
The Hookers have described their own sound as combining the "thunder of Blue Cheer, the speed of Motörhead and the teachings of Anton Lavey" (sic).[3] The Hookers can also be favorably compared to similar cross over thrash punk bands, such as Zeke and Antiseen, with the major guitar sound and vocal delivery being cribbed from heavy metal. Lead vocalist Adam Neal (aka Rock n' Roll Outlaw) credits having watched the film Werewolf vs The Vampire Women 27 times in a row as being influential in creating the image and lyrics of the band. The Hookers make extensive use of Satanic, sexual, fantastic and mythological imagery in their lyrics, as well as frequently referencing horror films, Vikings and biker culture.
Against The Grain https://againstthegrain-atg.bandcamp.com/
ATG ( Against the Grain) is a 4 piece punk rock band out of Detroit Michigan. Veterans to the scene, Against the Grain thrash your ears with the revved up sounds of Thrash/punk mixed with rock and roll, the spirit of the blues, with some melodic harmonies thrown in. With influences ranging from Zeke, Nofx, Chuck Berry,The Descendents, Slayer, Black Sabbath,The Dead kennedys, Bad Religion, and Iron Maiden, you can be sure ATG keeps it diverse and interesting
PanzerBastard https://panzerbastard.bandcamp.com/
Breaking out of the Boston underground, the diehard, motley Panzerbastard crew first reared their ugly collective heads in 2006, coming together from a veritable laundry list of Beantown's most notorious underground acts, not the least of which is Bastard bassist/vocalist Keith Panzer's legendary Boston hardcore outfit, Wrecking Crew. Indeed, the quartet's music is a reckless amalgamation of punk fury and intense, high-octane metal mayhem. From D-beating crust filth to electric, almost NWOBHM arrangements, Panzerbastard are in it for the long haul, determined to expand and explore the true destructive potential of their sound.
Suppressive Fire https://suppressivefire.bandcamp.com/album/hellwraith-ep
Suppressive Fire begun their all out attack on the southeastern metal scene in 2014 and have refused to let up their assault. Independently releasing their Hellwraith (EP) in August 2014 and the Covered in Conflict (Split) with friends Axattack in January 2015. When not writing, the band is playing as many shows as possible and as far as possible on every weekend they can skip town. Proudly hailing from the Raleigh/Durham part of North Carolina, taking aim as a 3-piece, Suppressive Fire takes their influence from bands such as Sodom, Toxic Holocaust, Kreator, Exodus. They have the DIY attitude to get things done and have no plans to slow down.
