The RIO THEATRE presents: AN EVENING WITH THE QUAIDS. Outlaws on the run in danger from a conspiracy called the Star Whackers?
Randy Quaid will present in person a double bill of the acclaimed comedy thriller "REAL TIME" and a work in progress screening of Evi Quaid's unfinished docudrama "STAR WHACKERS." followed by a LIVE performance by Randy Quaid and The Fugitives debuting their new song. Plus Q&A session with Randy & Evi. ALL your questions will be answered!

"REAL TIME" (Randall Cole - 2008) Screening 7:30pm Comedic thriller shot in "real time" stars Randy Quaid & Jay Baruchel. Andy (Baruchel) a hyperactive compulsive gambler, has just been given one hour to live before hitman Reuban (Quaid) takes his life in exchange for overdue gambling debts. With the deadline booming, Andy chooses to spend his life last hour in more than one unsual way. We soon discover there is more to him than meets the eye and Reuban turns out to have a secret of two of his own. Quaid was recently awarded "Best Supporting Actor" by the Vancouver Film Critics Association for his performance.

There is a plague upon the Hollywood star system since 1995: movie stars are worth more dead than alive due to lucrative ad revenue on the internet. Randy Quaid has been targeted, and left heartbroken & abandoned. Assassins plot his demise and hunt him so to appropriate for themselves his value as a movie star. Stars Randy Quaid in three roles!
