Cypress String Quartet Salon Series 2015-16 - Palo Alto Individual Concerts
Indulge your senses and immerse yourself in the luxury of great chamber music with the Cypress String Quartet. Three remarkable programs. Three unique and intimate Bay Area venues. 2015-16 Programs detailed below.
Salon Concerts run approximately 2 hours including intermission and are immediately followed immediately by chocolates & wine receptions hosted on-site by the Cypress String Quartet. Before each piece on the Salon programs, Cypress members will provide spoken introductions to help contextualize the music in a unique and personal way. Program booklets will include detailed notes on the music performed, and Cypress Quartet CDs will be available for purchase.

Barry Shiffman, viola - founding member of the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Barry has had a rich and varied career as a performer, recording artist, and teacher. He has appeared with orchestras and in recital across Canada, in the United States and Europe.

Zuill Bailey, cello - widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry as well as his engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought after and active cellists today.
