In the turmoil of London in the 1790s, Marianne becomes the unwilling target of a debauched aristocrat. Saved by the intervention of the enigmatic swordsman Henry Tessier, she quickly falls in love with her savior. But Henry has secrets of his own - and soon Marianne must learn to fight for herself and those she loves.
