By purchasing tickets to this Event, I am helping support the continuation of Humboldt Roller Derby as a non-profit all-volunteer organization.
In consideration for my participation in and viewing of the Roller Derby sporting event (hereinafter "Event"), I agree to assume all risks incidental to such participation which include but are not limited to, bruises and broken bones.
On my own and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators and next of kin, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, and forever discharge "Released Parties" from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any nature arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in and viewing of the Event. I further agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from and against any and all such liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses including, but not limited to, all attorneys' fees and disbursements up through and including any appeal.
I further agree that while attending the event that I will behave in a safe and respectful manner toward all persons and property at all times. I further agree that any non-compliant behavior will be grounds for my ejection from the Event venue.
For the purposes herein, the "Released Parties" include all Event sponsors, volunteers, directors, officials, advertisers, or charities, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated or related companies; and the officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors, representatives, successors, assigns, and volunteers of each of the foregoing entities.
I am aware the Released Parties are filming the Bout. I further grant the Released Parties the right to photograph and/or videotape me and to display, use and/or otherwise exploit my name, face, likeness, voice, and/or appearance in all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world in perpetuity, whether for advertising, publicity, or promotional purposes, without limitation or compensation.
I further agree to follow the posted Event policies which may include, but are not limited to: No video, audio or still photography, unless from a pre-approved media outlet. No laptops, large bags, wrapped gifts, coolers, weapons, drums, or laser pointers. No confetti or streamers. No unauthorized persons allowed on the track. There is no check-in area for jackets or personal property of any kind. No outside food or beverages. (The only exceptions are medical or special nutritional needs). No alcohol or open flame barbecues in the parking lots. Signs are allowed as long as they are not derogatory, obscene, do not block the view of other guests and are not attached to a pole.
All patrons and permitted bags are subject to inspection prior to entry.
I understand that if I am in possession of beverages not purchased from the Humboldt Roller Derby vendor(s), that I may be ejected from the venue and not allowed reentry.
These waivers shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, and any legal action relating to or arising out of these waivers shall be commenced exclusively in Humboldt County in the state of California.
I certify that I am 18 years of age or older or my parent or legal guardian is competent to waive the above rights, and I understand that the rights being waived are substantial.
