A Burlesque Tribute to Bettie Page
The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue presents a tribute to Bettie Page and other legends of the burlesque stage in a multi-media extravaganza on Thursday, April 1 at 11:00pm at the 29th Street Ballroom (formerly US Art Authority).
Bettie's back by popular demand! Featuring performances by The Jigglewatts, members of Black Widow Burlesque, special guest stars from around the state, and emcee Cora Vette of Denver, these ladies pay tribute to the late, great Miss Bettie Page and the era that immortalized her. Just in time for the Lone Star hot rod roundup, classic cars and hotrods will get priority parking right out front!
This tribute also includes burlesque clips from the 1955 feature, Teaserama, starring Bettie Page, as well as a sneak peak of the soon to be released documentary Bettie Page Reveals all: The Authorized Biography. Come see modern day starlets shimmy and shake alongside the legends who inspired them!
With sold-out shows in 2009 and 2010, this latest production will feature new and encore presentations. So if you made it last time, come on back for favorites and debuts.
