The Bio:
Leo's style is rooted in East Clare & incorporates elements of the flute styles of Roscommon and Sligo. He started playing tin whistle when he was six years old, listened to the Bothy Band when he was eight, and moved on to the flute at age ten. He grew up knowing and playing with such great musicians as P.J. Hayes, Paddy Canny, Martin Woods, Martin Rochford, Peadar O'Loughlin, Christy Barry, and Martin
Hayes. He is the flute player with the All-Star Clare Ceili Band,
teaches flute & whistle, and regularly plays with Tom & Colm.
Tom has been a stalwart in the Seattle traditional music scene for many years. He is currently president of the Seattle Irish Pipers Club and a founding, long-suffering member of the Suffering Gaels.
Since his arrival in Seattle a year ago, Colm has been a welcome addition to the scene, playing regularly with Leo and Tom. Colm is a multi-instrumentalist and fluent Irish speaker who has accompanied many musicians and singers on tour and in the studio.
Leo, Tom, and Colm particularly enjoy the music of Leo Rowsome, Willie Clancy, and Micho Russell, and play many two-whistle arrangements.
