"SCARS" - The Spring Reading Series June 8, 2015

The American Renaissance Theater Company proudly presents our annual Spring Reading Series, featuring the best work in development from our Workshop over the past year.

Opening night, June 8th, will feature the first of our International Reading Exchanges: "Scars," the New York premiere of Bryan Oliver's searing play about two sisters and their best friend, reunited after many years. Loyalties are tested as these three women confront each other over their inner secrets, family ties, the bonds of friendship...and who owes what to whom.

The reading is directed by ARTC co-Artistic Director Kathleen Swan and features ARTC actors Carla Brandberg, Karin de la Penha, and Anne Newhall. Mr. Oliver will join us from London for this premiere. (And this fall, our writer, Mark Levine, will travel to London for the debut reading of his play, "Lunch with Kazan.")
