Chris O'Brien at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
Chris O'Brien has made quite a name for himself in Boston's competitive music scene and it hasn't taken long for the rest of New England to catch on. He made a splash nationally by being chosen from a pool of nearly 1,000 contestants to appear on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion". O'Brien was nominated for a coveted Boston Music Award as well as being named WUMB's "New Artist of the Year". The list of artists Chris has shared the stage with reads like a Who's Who of Homegrown Coffeehouse favorites performers such as David Wilcox, Meg Hutchinson, Vance Gilbert, Mark Erelli, Jess Klein, Jake Armerding and Dar Williams, who taught him his first guitar chords. Here is (what just might be your last) chance to catch him in an intimate setting. CHRIS O'BRIEN at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, Saturday, March 26, at 8:00 P.M. The Homegrown Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Dedham Avenue in Needham center.
