DOUBLE VISION, Jen Mellor & Jamie Venci
Duplexity, by DOUBLE VISION, is a contemporary dance solo inspired by the idea that a single message may be sent simultaneously in two directions. The work explores dividing, subdividing and redividing the dancer's focus between multiple physical, mental and psychological units that operate independently of one another. The dancer maneuvers and transforms herself throughout kaleidoscopic movement phrases in a performance that is riveting, vulnerable and haunting. The work is a cross-country collaboration between choreographer Pauline Jennings, sound designer Sean Clute, and dancer Jennifer Mellor.
Also featuring new choreographic works by Jennifer Mellor Dance Project and Jamie Venci.
