Science: John & Colleen Marzluff: Doggedly Pursuing Ravens
Twenty years ago, John and Colleen Marzluff headed for a small cabin in western Maine to conduct the first extensive study of the winter ecology of the Common Raven. Drawing on field notes and personal diaries, the local authors of Dog Days, Raven Nights chronicle their three-year endeavor to research a mysterious and often-misunderstood bird, and share the challenges and joys of raising, training, and racing the sled dogs that assisted them in their work. Presented as part of Seattle Science Lectures, with Pacific Science Center and University Book Store. Series sponsored by Microsoft. Series media sponsorship provided by KPLU.
