Nickel City Pastry Chef
**Tickets will be available at the door the day of the show. They are $35 each. I.D. required; cash only.***

Feed Your Soul, the culinary production company behind Nickel City Chef and Nickel City Cake Challenge are proud to present the debut of Nickel City Pastry Chef.

The Nickel City Chef series is as much about Western New York as it is about cooking and entertainment. We are privileged to live in an area with a rich history enhanced by hearty ethnic foods and one of America's greatest contributions to casual cuisine - the chicken wing. And while these culinary icons are as important to Buffalo as professional sports teams and world-class architecture, in culinary terms, they are not all that we have to offer. In kitchens all over the region, chefs with serious technical skills, adventurous natures and pristine palates are preparing well-composed plates that would dizzy even the harshest critic.

Nickel City Pastry Chef will celebrate two of our area's best pastry chefs, providing them with an arena in which to showcase concoctions that may be too daring or complicated to warrant a permanent position on a menu.

Nickel City Pastry Chef takes place in one of the city's best kept secrets, a fully restored turn-of-the-century warehouse on Buffalo's West Side (home to Artisan Kitchens & Baths). Completely outfitted with two competition-worthy kitchens, this unique setting is the ideal location for guests to enjoy light snacks and drinks while experiencing this one-of-a-kind cooking competition first hand.

The first-ever Nickel City Pastry Chef will feature Chef Ellen Gedra of Bistro Europa versus Chef Paul Piorkowski of Black & Blue Steak & Crab.

Judges include:
**Barbara Accogli, baker and decorator, Toronto's Cake Star, "the Duff Goldman of Canada"
**Paul Jenkins, chef and managing partner, Tempo
**Carolyn Panzica, owner, Chocolate Bar
**Joanna Pasceri, television personality, WKBW

The audience will watch as two pastry chefs and their assistants attempt to create the three best dishes in under an hour! They will employ classic and modern techniques in order to showcase their skills and the secret ingredient. Just like Nickel City Chef, Pastry Chef's featured secret ingredient is grown or produced right here in Western New York!

Guest judges and local food professionals will determine which pastry chef has prepared the most technically perfect, creative and delicious dishes. As a member of the audience, you'll even have a say by voting for your favorite!

Attendees at each NCC event watch the battle unfold live while sampling light snacks and enjoying a cash bar. The audience's ability to immerse themselves in the event is enhanced by the 12 flat panel televisions that hang throughout the location, providing close-ups of each of the chefs' stoves and work spaces.

We hope that you will join us for the debut of Nickel City Pastry Chef!

We do not recommend this event for children under 17. IDs will be checked at the door in order to verify that anyone being served at the bar is of age.
