Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche
Chagdud Gonpa Amrita is honored to host a special event with Dzongsar Khyenste Rinpoche.

A teaching on The Way of the Bodhisattva, the Bodhicharyavatara of Shantideva.
As we become more aware of the increasing power of aggression and the spreading hopelessness of displacement and disasters presently affecting so many populations these days, this 7th century treatise on cultivating love, compassion and wisdom continues to be a relevant manual on how to truly be of benefit to others. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche will illuminate the essential meaning of this text and show us how to immediately put it into practice.

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche is a Buddhist teacher and author of books on Buddhist philosophy and practice (What Makes You Not a Buddhist and Not for Happiness). He has lectured at Oxford University, UC-Berkeley, and Beijing University, founded a 100-year global initiative involving nearly 200 scholars to translate all the Buddha's teachings into English, and heads monasteries and meditation centers on five continents. He is the spiritual director of several charitable organizations engaged in both Buddhist and humanitarian work, including Siddhartha's Intent, Khyentse Foundation and Lotus Outreach. He has also made three feature films: The Cup, Travellers and Magicians, and Vara.
