Lebo, Dave Brogan, & Chris Velan
Each troubadour will play a set featuring their own original material, while the other two serve as the backing band. Bass player extraordinaire, Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green, Marco Benevento Trio) will complete the band.
Lebo:
Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), a founding member of ALO (Brushfire/Universal Records), tours the world playing guitar, lap steel, pedal steel and singing. When not working with ALO, he can be seen performing with one of his bands (magicgravy, Trio Lebo) or working on recording projects in his San Francisco studio, Leboland.
Dave Brogan:
Inspired by the psychedelic pioneers of the '60s San Francisco scene, the LA folk-rock movement of the '70s and the modern-day progenitors of California Soul, drummer/songwriter Dave Brogan's music explores the fringes of roots-rock, fusing the energy of Americana with dark, Ambient landscapes- all informed by his background in modern classical music. He has recorded 3 albums with his band, ALO, for Brushfire records and released his own record, Thunderbird Sun Transformation, co-produced by Mother Hips frontman Tim Bluhm.
Chris Velan:
Montreal's Chris Velan continues his music journey following a busy year of touring that included performances at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, tours with ALO and an appearance on 1% for the Planet's inaugural charity music compilation. With 3 critically acclaimed solo albums to date, Chris in on tour now in support of his new album Fables for Fighters (Spring 2011), produced by Iestyn Polson (David Gray).
