CIMMFest 2011: Last Days Here
Directed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton
Pioneering, semi-mythical metal band Pentagram spent decades laboring in obscurity, their infrequent albums disappearing into bargain bins and their members into drug abuse. In SXSW selection Last Days Here, Pentagram lead singer Bobby Liebling emerges from his parents' basement in a final attempt to embrace life and be embraced by the music scene he helped create. Argott and Fenton (Rock School) find pathos and humor in the story of a man emerging from suspended animation.
With: "Hard Rock Havana" (short doc about Cuban metal band, directed by Nicholas Brennan)
