CIMMFest 2011: High on Hope
Directed by Piers Sanderson
Dozens of cities claim to have invented house music (of course we know it was invented here in Chicago), but there's no denying that it quickly grew from an underground phenomenon into an epic (or epidemic, depending on where you stood) youth movement. High on Hope documents its start in the northwest of England, where early 1990s warehouse raves drew thousands of people. Twenty years later, the people who organized those parties look back on their legacy.
