CIMMFest 2011: The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of Jose Gonzalez
Directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson and Fredrik Egerstrand
Muted, introspective Swedish-Argentinean singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez gets a suitably muted and introspective behind-the-scenes film arranged around the recording of his 2007 album In Our Nature. Through traditional and nontraditional methods, Karlsson and Egerstrand attempt "to give form to the personal artistic process" by examining how Sweden's most secretive musician operates, meanwhile documenting his more public side through tour footage shot in several countries around the world.
With: "The Silent World of Hector Mann" (short film featuring Steve Albini, directed by Ryan Suffern)
