Rosie Flores
Award-winning Girl of the Century, Working Girl with Guitar Rosie Flores has gone surfing, knifing her turquoise axe through some new uncharted musical waters.
These past few years have found her nabbing two fan voted Ameripolitan Awards in 2014 taking one for Best Female Honky Tonk and the other for Best Female Rockabilly; a Peabody Award that she accepted onstage at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City for her narration of the documentary "Whole Lotta Shakin"; producing Janis Martin's 2012 CD "The Blanco Sessions" which tied at number one with Rosie's "Working Girls Guitar" on the FAR chart; and a multimedia Janis Martin Tribute that she created and performed at the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012.
All these accolades propelled her into performing at the Chuck Berry Tribute at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with other great musicians including Vernon Reid and David Johansen, which led Rolling Stone Magazine to proclaim that she was "one of the most impressive acts of the eveningand the only performer brave enough to playfully attempt a duck walk."
Bar Brawl III Bar Brawl started in 2001, Chris Rhoades and Matt Thomas played everything from dive bars to Moose Lodges, from Rockabilly shows to the VWF to hone their craft and mold themselves into the musical powerhouse they are today. With addition of life long friend Jeff Sanders on drums the sound has evolved into something so complex and so much fun, and for a three piece band they sure cover some ground. Their new self titled album really shows the diverse nature of their musical past. Having a fine command of so many musical styles the album shows their true Roots Rock nature while still holding true to the Punk rock audited they adopted and the country roots they were born with. Country, Blues, and catchy songs are a trade mark at any show, but this ain't your average dancehall show, all bets are off, all boundaries are broken and if you don't have fun you have no one to blame but yourself!
The Mudflapps The Mudflapps are a Chicago- based band that plays original acoustic music. Whether plugged-in on the big stage, or truly unplugged and unamplified, they give audiences a dose of country storytelling at its finest. The songs weave tales of woe, whiskey, and wild living into a mix of styles with nearly universal appeal. Sometimes it sounds like honky-tonk, sometimes more like bluegrass, sometimes more like jug band blues. It often sounds like nothing you've ever heard before. Upright bass, guitars, dobro, and mandolin combine with strong songwriting and tight vocal harmony to create a show fit for stages of any size.
