About the Lecture: Mary Overlie's lecture on the Viewpoints offers the full spectrum of her discoveries, theories, and history from both artistic and scientific perspectives unique only to Ms. Overlie. The lecture will last 1.5 hrs with time for questions and responses. Light refreshments will be provided. Please note: seating is limited to sitting on the studio floor and some chairs.
About Mary Overlie: MARY OVERLIE has had a long and respected career as a performer, choreographer, teacher and theater collaborator working extensively in both the United States and Europe. Ms Overlie is a founder of: Danspace at St. Mark's Church a dance presenting organization and theater in New York; Movement Research, a dance co-operative now in its twenty fifth year of operation, sponsoring workshops and presenting performances serving the community of New York City dancer; The Experimental Theatre Wing; a studio in the department of Undergraduate Drama Tisch School of the Arts; The Pro Series, experimental dance workshops designed for the Tanz Wochen the summer dance festival of Vienna.
