The Art of Caregiving: How Jewish Tradition Can Inform Our Caregiving Journey
Featuring Rabbi Richard Address, Founder of the Sacred Aging Project Followed by The Journey of Caregiving panel with local guests
Rabbi Richard Address will share wisdom on caring for aging parents and other loved ones as articulated in Jewish text and tradition. As the Union for Reform Judaism's Specialist for Caring Community and Family Concerns, Rabbi Address consults and advises on how faith and community can support those caring for a parent or other aging loved one. Rabbi Address also speaks and writes on how "honoring our parents" looks today and other contemporary issues of aging, spirituality, family and community.
The Journey of Caregiving panel will include different perspectives on this theme from JFS Director of Aging and Adult Programs, Jane Relin; Toby Donner and Norma Rosenthal, caregivers and authors of a local website, http://www.girlfriendswithagingparents.com, and others to be announced.
