Band in Seattle live television taping with Mo' Jam Mondays and the Morganica Quartet

Every Monday The Nectar Lounge opens it's doors to musicians from all over the NW to play, hang and laugh. On June 29th, Mo' Jam will be bringing their act to Band in Seattle. Doors open at 6PM at Victory Studios, 2247 15th Avenue West between Queen Anne and Magnolia in Seattle. The show starts at 7PM and ends at approximately 10PM. Admission will include free beer provided by sponsor North Coast Brewing Company along with soft drinks and snacks.

Mo' Jam Mondays:
From the birth of the event on December 16th 2013, bandleader/drummer Morgan Gilkeson has followed through with her vision of combining a "no holds barred" music session with featured, weekly, talents from the greater King County. Imagine an open platform for a poet, horn player, rapper, or dancer, to reveal themselves in rhythm and sound for an audience to witness and celebrate.

There is a place for everyone regardless of experience; whether you are a master at your craft or honing in on your talent, everyone learns to accept one another in applause and cheer. Every session begins with the Morganica Quartet along with a featured artist - nothing is rehearsed and everything is organic. Between sets, D.J. Tibor sets the mood with his eclectic collection of funk and modern jazz. Artists use this time to mingle, and group up for participation in the second set, a mash-up of musical spontaneity.

Drummer and Hostess, Morgan Gilkeson, has continually featured all-star local performers. Including Evan Flory-Barnes, Jessie Sawyers, Steve Treseler, Thomas Marriott, Chris "C.D." Littlefield, Eugenie Jones, Kareem Kandi, DeeJay Roc'Phella and more. Mo' Jam Mondays provides an opportunity for fans and up-and-coming artists to network and create music in a welcoming environment. Every week there are rotating emcee's. Artists such as Michelle Searle from Feverton, Caine from Coldnote, and KJ Jones have acted as weekly emcee's for Mo' Jam Mondays.
