Long Island Roller Rebels Tryouts
Are you ready to add 'roller derby badass' to your resume? We're now looking to fill roster spots for our 2016 season! Tryouts are open to women, 18 and older, who have a good attitude and are ready to give it their all. All skill levels are welcome. After a brief warm up, you will go through a series of stretches, which will help prepare you for all of our skills and drills. Tryouts, which are coached by a team of LIRR staff members, last approximately 2 hours on skates. Please bring a photo ID and your health insurance card (if you have coverage). Health insurance is not required, but strongly recommended. You must have a mouth guard, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards and quad roller skates to participate. If you do not own quad roller skates, some will be available to rent. Please dress comfortably and bring water to stay hydrated! Tryouts are $35 and cover skate time and staffing.
