Cavafy's Caress
Cavafy's Caress is an intimate theatrical performance exploring the vibrant and passionate words and world of renowned Greek gay poet, Constantine P. Cavafy (1863-1933). A graceful collection of some of Cavafy's greatest poems are arranged to create a story that gives the audience a sensuous glimpse into his relationship with sexuality, memory, youth, and the love of beauty.
It will take place at in conjunction with the CELEBRATIONS OF THE EQUINOX exhibition at AFFINITY and LARK Galleries, 216 The Promenade, Long Beach, CA. Two shows will be held on Saturday, April 2nd -- an afternoon matinee at 2pm and evening show at 7pm. The show is approximately 1 hour in length and contains adult themes. The venue has a unique variety of playing spaces and has both seating and standing room available.
