The Fire Spectacular 2011
The Fire Spectacular is an annual festival held in the downtown area of Sacramento that celebrates creative collaboration through fire dance, music, healing, and art.
At the Fire Spectacular one can come across a variety of different types of performance art and dance ensembles from Belly Dancers, to Fire Dancers, to Circus Acts, and Theatrical Stage shows. There are also vendors of crafts and art, henna and healing artists too.
Each year the festival is rooted in an environmental and cultural element as we express different tribal stories and healing through dance and creative expression.
On August 13th 2011, Obsidian Butterfly will take you on a heartfelt journey through the element of Wind/Air to the domain of the Full Moon. A place where the Moon Goddesses dance as the Sky Father plays the flute. We will listen to the beat of our own heart and explore the healing sounds of the moon. Allow your spirit to drift into dream time, and join us for a delightful experience.

What visions do we seek?
What do our hearts deeply desire?
What changes do we feel empowered to make for the health and happiness in our heart?
How can we honor our internal rhythms yet stay connected to the creative whole?

Seating - those that purchase general admission tickets will enjoy amphitheatre style, bench seating. We are also offering lawn tickets (bring your own chairs and blankets).
Ticket prices
Child 8.00 13 and under, 8 and under free
Early Bird 10.00 Tier 1: Mar 7th - April 17th
Lawn tickets - $10 (bring your own chair / blanket)
General 15.00 Tier 2: April 18th - Aug 7th
Week of 18.00 Tier 3: Aug 8th - Aug 12th
VIP (front 2 rows bench seating) 25.00
Family Rate 35.00 2 Adults + 2 Children under 13; until August 12th.
Door Rates:
$10 per child under 13 (under 8 free)
$20 per adult
$45 Family Rate (2 Adults + 2 Children)
*No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
If you are not able to afford a ticket, we are looking for volunteers and crew to help work the event in trade for entrance. Please contact Obsidian Butterfly prior to July 31st if you are interested in work trade options.
