Fencing basics from a historical perspective and stage routine!
Learn the fundamentals of handling the sword of Shakespeare's time ... The art of swordplay is a fantastic skill for any actor to learn, as well as an excellent physical and mental exercise. McLaughlin Theater Co. is excited to offer a fencing workshop for the very first time! Students will learn proper footwork and body coordination, use of the blade for both attack and defense, as well as theory, history, and more. Historical fencing instructor Isaac Humber has ten years of experience and currently teaches combat styles from the 16th through the 19th centuries. Ages 10 and up , equipment provided. Class limit of 10.
