Elements of Culture festival March 18th 20th :
3 Days of Music related events co-presented by local non-profit organizations Community Arts and Culture and the Moksha Family Arts Collective. The events are themed around the Guitar and how it has impacted music and cultures around the world. This event will take place at 7 circuit studios, 228 NE 59 st, on March 18th 20th.
Friday March 18th 2011: 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM Official after party for Rhythm Foundation's "Big Night in Little Haiti"
Featuring : Nag Champayons, celebrating their debut single release The Moksha Allstars (roots collective edition) with special guest Los Herederos (Afro Cuban Folk Ensemble) Also DJ Kool Large. $10.00
Saturday March 19th 2011: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Guitar Workshops Full day of demos, classes, clinics and how-to's. Including Demos from: Larry Lashbrook: Installing an archtop bridge Craig Lavin: One of the countries top inlay artist Michael Marsh: Marsh Amps (vintage tone and boutique series demos) Alex Jones: guitar setup 101 Nestor Prieto: Guitar Mod demo $20.00
Sunday March 20th 2011: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Vintage guitar expo & Miami's Musicians Bazaar/ Swap Meet BUY*SELL*TRADE Come see hundreds of musical instruments from guitars to keyboards, drums, PA, Lighting, band instruments and many other music related items. Consignment table, silent auction and performance demos throughout the day. $10.00
Also on both days Live Performances, Guitar jams,and DJ Le Spam! Beverages, food, and snacks will be available, free parking, security on premises.
