Slow Food Napa Valley: A Tail of Two Pigs
Please join the Napa Valley Slow Food Chapter on April 3rd for our first event of 2011. The event is being held at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone campus in St. Helena and begins at 1:00 pm with a presentation by Nicolette Hahn Niman, an environmental activist, cattle rancher, and author of "Righteous Porkchop - Finding a Life and Good Food Beyond Factory Farms". Following the presentation and discussion, a potluck lunch will be served featuring delicious pork dishes prepared from a locally raised Mule Foot Hog, a heritage breed featured on the Slow Food USA Ark of Taste.
Please bring a potluck dish and a bottle of wine or other beverage to share. Dinnerware and flatware are provided. If your last name ends in A-E please bring a salad, if it ends in F-L please bring a side dish, if it ends in M-Z please bring a dessert.
