KYL/D's CHI Artists Summer Workshops 2015
The CHI Artists Summer Workshops bring choreographers and dancers together in a unique setting.
FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS: Dance makers have the opportunity to share their voice through a focused, guided warm up and compositional exploration.
FOR DANCERS: Dancers have the opportunity to try out different choreographic and technical styles without the stress of an audition, but with the added excitement of developing a long-term relationship with established Philadelphia artists.
SINGLE SCOOPS provide the community with an inexpensive, safe, and supportive movement space to come together and explore, getting a "small sample" of the choreographer's process and the dancers' creative spirit.
June 15-July 3rd. M-F 1:30-3:30pm.
Artists include Megan Mazarick, Raphael Xavier, Leah Stein, Dara Stevens-Meredith, Nora Gibson, Belle Alveraz, Evalina "Wally" Carbonell, Jessica C. Warchal-King, Helen Hale... and more!
Pre-register for a discount off of the drop in rate! (Pre-registration: $12. Drop in $18)
WEEK-LONG WORKSHOPS offer the opportunity for the choreographers and dancers to work closely over a full week. Dancers will build on information and movement each day, so attending the entire week is suggested, but not required.
July 6th-August 21st. M-F 1:30-3:30pm
Artists include KYL/D Artistic Director Kun-Yang Lin, Katherine Kiefer Stark, Julie Johnson, Molly Shanahan, KC Chun-Manning, and Gregory King.
