A special Spanish flamenco guitar concert comes to the elegant theater at the Fairlawn Community Center. TEATRO Sí presents a U.S. debut tour performance by "Spanish Guitar Master" Pedro Javier González from Barcelona, Spain on Saturday, March 5 at 1pm. This not to be missed concert experience comes to the stage at this elegant cultural venue located at 10-10 20th Street, Fairlawn, NJ. Pedro Javier González performs flamenco music in its purest essence in the modern day fusion style. González is a musician, composer, arranger and producer from Barcelona who possesses a unique and particular guitar language. He has been called "a musician in capital letters and one of the most talented in the flamenco style". Performing throughout Europe and receiving several awards in the flamenco genre, he entered the musical panorama accompanying great performers like Toti Soler, Joan Manuel Serrat, Victoria de los Ángeles, El Último de la Fila and Manolo García, among others. He has performed at major festivals sharing the program with artists like B.B. King, Pat Methany, Paco de Lucía, Keziah Jones, John Williams and Tomatito as well as a recent performance in Moscow of the Concert for Aranjuez with The Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Simkin.
