An upscale bar in an OK area of San Mateo. It's not San Francisco, but it's safe and friendly.

38th Floor Bar is the old Mandala Bar remodeled, apparently as the result of being on a TV show called "Bar Rescue."

Warning: Drinks served here are especially strong and good and priced accordingly. :)

One reviewer of this upscale bar writes:

"Bar Rescue in the house! The old Mandala wasn't awful, however Bar Rescue truly raised this spot into a swanky upscale parlor without being too grandiose. Real enhancements were made in the back porch range where there's additional lighting, new furniture, and magnificent warmth lights. 38th floor bar appears as though its all good."

From Hwy 101 or Hwy 280 take Hwy 92, Delaware exit; go south on Delaware; right on 25th. From East Bay take Hwy 92 (Hayward-San Mateo Bridge). Free street stopping of your vehicle.
