Alexander McCall Smith:
At a remote cattle post south of Gaborone two cows have been killed, and Precious Ramotswe, Botswana's No. 1 Lady Detective, is asked to investigate by a rather frightened and furtive gentleman. It is an intriguing problem with plenty of suspects -- including, surprisingly, her own client. "The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party" is the 12th installment in the beloved series.
Alexander McCall Smith is the author of the international phenomenon, "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series, the "Isabel Dalhousie Series," the "Portuguese Irregular Verbs" series, and the "44 Scotland Street" series
