K E V I N . R O L S T O N --------------------------------- "Deal with the Dragon"
Hunter Keegan's cell phone is on fire. That can only mean one thing: his roommate lost his temper.....again. At least this time it was an object and not a person that got scorched. The guy means well (we think). He only wants the best for Hunter (he says). He wants to help Hunter prepare for his first job interview which is early tomorrow morning. But the longer he hangs around in Hunter's room, the more it becomes clear that he's more than just charming. He's positively bewitching. Is he a father figure? A really overzealous art patron? A co-dependent sugar daddy? Or is he actually a dragon?
J U L I A . J A C K S O N -------------------------------- "Worst. Boyfriend. Ever."
Can a bad boyfriend make you gay? No, just miserable. Beer drinking, shit talking, Camaro driving boyfriends are the skeletons in any good lesbian's closet. Or was it just me?
S A H I L . F A R O O Q I ------------------------------ "A Brown Monkey Goes to McDonald's"
Sahil makes the best Chicken Tikka Masala in upstate New York. He has said "thank you come again" to customers. He rode on camels and elephants through the jungles of India. Americans keep asking him about these things and the answers keep getting spicier. At Ithaca High School, Sahil is battling dual identities, Indian and American. How much to gain and what to lose? He wants to be popular, he wants to have lots of friends, lots of white friends but 9/11 happens and he fears that he doesn't belong in America anymore. Sahil is paranoid about the backlash. He doesn't understand why he is being lumped in with the terrorists, he eats pork (sometimes). Sahil has to re-dream his American dream in this new America.
