Queen Bee and Me Honey Tour
This 6-hour tour is SWEET!
Meet Apiary Dave, the resident beekeeper at Stratford Ecological Center. He'll tell us just how honey is made and about the plight of the pollinator. After a honey tasting, we'll meet Her Majesty, Queen Honey Bee, and peek into her hive. Then we'll travel to Local Roots Restaurant. You'll enjoy a seasonal lunch featuring produce fresh off the Local Roots farm, herbs from the patio herb garden, and Ohio beef, bison, poultry, and pork.
We'll surprise you with a delicious honey-chocolatey dessert.
After lunch we'll tour Signature Wines. Did you know honey and wine share flavor attributes? Find out at Signature Wines. Kelly Harvey, Ohio's only woman winemaker will personally guide you on a tour of the winery. She'll introduce you to mead, fermented honey wine and preside over a wine, cheese, and honey pairing.
