SnoValley Tilth Table to Farm Summer Dinner Series- July
Fine Dining at the Source. SnoValley Tilth is hosting a duo of on-the-farm dinners, two evenings of fine food and community in Carnation, WA:
July 18th, 4:30-8:30 at Camp Korey's food gardens at historic Carnation Farm, with chef Matt Dillon of Bar Sajor (and other fine Seattle restaurants) and featuring Southard Winery. (Tickets for July 18th above)
August 15th, 4:30-8:30 at SnoValley Tilth's Experience Farming Project at Stuart Landing Farm with Chef Garrett Brown of The Garage and featuring Desert Wind Winery. Tickets for August 15th at this link.
SnoValley Tilth's vision is of more farmers on more farmland, growing more sustainable food for our community. We support organic and sustainable food production practices in the Snoqualmie Valley via public policy work, a small farm incubation program, educational programs, and the Carnation Farmers Market. What better way to support those initiatives than to eat a delicious meal right on the farm, where most of the meal ingredients will be grown mere feet from the table!
Your evening starts with a short drive through the scenic Snoqualmie Valley to the farm, just 45 minutes from Seattle, or 15 minutes from Redmond. You are greeted with a welcome glass of local wine and delicious appetizers. Sipping, you walk the rows of the farm to see your meal's ingredients flourishing in their native habitat. After the farm tour and conversation with the farmers, you will settle into your seat at a long table in the field. The meal experience will entail four more delectable courses, artfully prepared by a local chef with local, sustainably produced food ingredients. Each course will be paired with a fine Washington wine.
Now picture that magnificent meal helping support a great cause. All proceeds from the meals will benefit SVT's efforts promoting local, sustainable farming: networking, resource sharing, and education for Valley farmers and the public, as well as the Carnation Farmers Market and farm to school efforts. By connecting local food-eaters and local food-producers we are creating a community where everyone can thrive.
