Sedona Rotary NIGHT Golf
Night time glow golf in Sedona is something to be experienced! Warm nights and bright skies lend to a great glow golf time... Top that off with all you can drink beer and all you can eat pizza and what could be a better time with friends?
This invitation event is for teams of six players and is played at the lovely par 3 Canyon Mesa Country Club on Friday July 10th and Friday September 11th. The July tourney will tee off at 7:15 and the September tourney will tee off at 6:15. We are limiting the field to 9 teams and will have a 2:15 drop dead time to be kind to the hosting Canyon Mesa neighborhood.
The captain's choice format and unlimited mulligans to buy make for a fun tournament. All proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks to support all our good deeds.
To play glow golf right you will need a walking bag or pull cart and you will want to pare down your clubs a bit. Don't bring anything but irons or solid face drivers as hollow clubs can be damaged by glow balls and all play is at your own risk. Glow balls generally fly two clubs shorter than normal balls (about 75%). We suggest bringing a flashlight or headlight to see even though it will be close to a full moon. We will light the greens and flags as well as tee boxes with glow sticks. Each player will get a glow necklace and glow mug and other glow sticks will be available. Teams of six are $360 ($700 if you pay for both at the same time) and include some glow items and mug as well as one glow ball, pizza and beer. More glow balls can be purchased and are advised. Mulligans for tee shots will require a second glow ball while chips and putts may not. There will also be a 50/50 raffle with tickets available at sign in.
Beer will be sponsored by Tony Puliano of Chevron-VOC and the Cottonwood 76. Pizza will be provided by Dominos in West Sedona. There will be pizza and beer at the clubhouse for sign in 45 min before tee off and kegs will be on holes 1, 4 and 7. Pizza and beer in clubhouse afterward with the perpetual trophy passing to the new owners to keep until,the following tournament.
