Is there anything left to surprise us at Christmas? In this trio of dramatic stories, the answer is a resounding YES.
ANGELS It begins with headline news: Bridge collapses under SkyTrain, 22 killed, 2 survivors. The mystery unfolds in an Anglican church, visited by police and survivors in turn, as a reported angel sighting forces a deacon to confront her "de-mythologized" faith.
THEODYSSEY A blind woman searches for truth; a bride wonders if there's any romance left beneath the wedding decorations; an atheist struggles to swallow his disbelief. Three worlds collide in this mystical journey where love is found in surprising places.
THE TRINITY ADVENT PLAY Sometimes you can be in the centre of a crowded church and still feel alone. A pastor's wife with a painful secret wonders if this Christmas will hold something different for her...a slice-of-life story with a surprising twist, this is a realistic meditation on God's nearness in our suffering.
Watch all three plays back-to-back during the show's one-week run on the TWU campus.
