Our World Remade: A World War I Reading & Discussion Group
On the centennial of the "war to end all wars," Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan's oldest house, is hosting a book club delving into the period's history, literature and poetry. How did it come about; why did it continue; and how did people physically, intellectually and artistically cope? The club, sponsored by the New York Council for the Humanities, is six sessions long, and books are provided. Light refreshments will be served. The club is free, though advanced registration is recommended.
