CEC New Edge Resident Artist in Dance - Shannon Murphy presents...
"Find" is a chain of events linking one moment to the next, with or without conscious thought. Choreographer, Shannon Murphy finds beauty in tying the seemingly unattached threads together creating a bit of organized chaos. Performers Kristel Baldoz, Patricia Dominguez,Jumatatu Poe and Steve Surgalski merge physical manifestation, sound, and memory. This surrealistic matrix often appears to be a lonely world, but nurtures both the audience and the performers abilities to place personal experience into it's web.
You can experience a Franklin Method Workshop with Shannon Murphy on Sat April 2nd, 11-1 pm at the Community Education Center, 3500 Lancaster Ave. The spine's design for movement was an inspiration for the movement vocabulary for Find. Come learn about how your spine facilitates movement and leave feeling ease and freedom in your body and mind! The workshop is free and open to all ages and movement abilities.
