Sarah Eide / Flocks and the Lookout / Yole
$5 Advance / $7 Door
Sarah Eide Though new to the Chicago music scene, Sarah is no stranger to gripping an audience with her powerful voice and lyrically beautiful music. A classical piano background coupled with a love for American folk and roots music has led Sarah to writing songs that are daring yet familiar. She writes lyrics that are all at once raw, smart and intimate, while wrapping them in expressive melodies and adventurous chord changes. It's within these songs that she dares question aloud spirituality, morality, relationships, societal standards, her place in the world and where the line lies between right and wrong.
Flocks and The Lookout Music has been a major part of the foundation of their relationship since the very first time they met. Austin and Hannah met playing the same show in the basement of a small church in the suburbs of Chicago, and they hit it off almost immediately. Other people at the venue noticed it too! Hannah even invited Austin on stage during her set to sing with her, on a song he'd only heard once in run threw! The rest is history. Yole Yolé is a music collective that is led by lead singer and songwriter Richard Sosa. Formed in the studios of Skies Fall and the living room couch of Sosa, Yolé is organic- americana with gospel origins. Yolé brings in Lauren D'Angelo whose haunting vocals and piano mixed with Sosa's unorthodox singing style create the Yolé sound.
