Will Franken's "Part One Of The Fourth Dimension Trilogy"
"Part One of the Fourth Dimension Trilogy" is the first part in a trilogy of new hysterical one-man Will Franken shows to be held at the Purple Onion Comedy Club beginning in March.
A closeted homosexual from the planet Paducah in the galaxy of Kentucky receives a strange transmission from his Campbell's soup can bluetooth device. His parents are coming to San Francisco because they've deemed him sober enough to hold his sister's new baby. There's just one hitch--they don't know he's gay! And he's got less than twenty-four earth hours to either butch up his girled-out studio apartment -- or recruit the help of Rebecca The Hut; a two-ton emo fag-hag, to act as beard!
This delicious, one-man twist on "La Cage Aux Folles" is just the cherry on top of the sundae that is the first part of the Fourth Dimension Trilogy.
Doing to comedy what Robert Crumb did to the field of visual arts and what Philip K. Dick did to the science fiction genre, Will Franken (SF Bay Guardian's "Best Alternative To Psychedelic Drugs" and SF Weekly's "Best Comedian" and "Patron Saint of Misrule") continues his satirical assault on the presupposed social mores of our day, pitfalls of linear logic, the ever-present bugaboos of political correctness and multiculturalism, and the fatalistic struggle of mankind against its own animal nature.
Plus, it's really funny. If you haven't seen Will Franken before, you're in for a treat. Stream-of-conscious transitions, myriad characters and voices, and bizarre yet enticing narrative threads that mirror externally the inner workings of one man's perpetually broiling subconscious.
And this is just part one!
Shane Koon to open and Liz Grant to feature!
