Can Seattle Save the World? (Poverty, Health and Chocolate)
ADVANCE TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR BEGINNING AT 6 P.M. CASH ONLY.
Seattle is now a leader in global health and the fight against poverty. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and many other humanitarian groups are located here. Are these organizations succeeding in making the world a better place? Join KPLU as we explore this question in a lively discussion with smallpox eradicator Dr. William Foege, PATH President Dr. Christopher Elias, health activist Dr. Wendy Johnson, and Theo Chocolate's Joe Whinney. Moderated by KPLU Humanosphere journalist Tom Paulson. Co-presented by CityClub. Tickets are $10.00 at the door. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
