THE DEMON LO - Staged reading
NOTE: This is at the MACHA THEATER in West Hollywood (NOT at the Lex).
The Visceral Company is pleased to present a staged reading of THE DEMON LO, a new play based on the award-winning film Lo by Travis Betz.
This comedic, post-modern, Faust-inspired take on the Orpheus myth is written by Travis Betz and Michael Piel, directed by Dan Spurgeon, and features the talents of Frank Blocker, Morgan Peter Brown, Dustin Fasching, Lara Fisher, Amelia Gotham, Samm Hill, Mark Souza, and Ryan Young.
When a lonely loser, Justin, meets a bizarre woman, April, his entire life begins to change for the better until she is snatched from their bed late one night by a demon. Finding a strange and ancient book among April's things, Justin summons a surly netherworld creature named Lo to search Hell and return her. Although Lo has other ideas of what to do with this tasty human, Justin is determined to find April, and will not be deterred by singing waiters, a demonic doo-wop band, or the stories of tortured souls... although his own fractured mind may be another story.
Some free parking is available in the theatre lot, otherwise there's a $5 city parking lot directly across street.
There is a CASH BAR!!!! Beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks will be available, cash only. (The theatre runs this, not us.)
Limit of 2 tickets per order! Any tickets not claimed by 8 pm may be released to a wait list.
