TransportedSF Presents The Whisked Away Cabaret
Spend an evening on our biodiesel/solar bus traveling to underutilized spaces where performers will wow you with their talents! This isn't just any bus, however. Our bus has couches, a dancefloor and a sound system. On our 3.5 hour trip we will traverse the Bay Area visiting three different spaces where our elite teams of performers will be waiting for us. Upon arrival they will amaze us. Then we pile back on the bus to a new location. En route our DJs will drop aural treats for you to dance to. To top it all of we will have a complimentary champagne toast. Don't miss this unique adventure into, through, and around the heart of San Francisco's underground performance arts culture.
On this evening we are featuring the talents of:
*Jodi Waseca* Curious glammy glitterphile with a gypsy heart, Jodi has been fascinated with hobos and gypsies for a long while. When she picked up the art of dance at a wee tender age, her passion was imbedded. Now, as an award winning and international performer, she has turned that passion into studies of Contemporary Fusion and Cabaret belly dance, Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop dance, Burlesque, Fire, Butoh and Theatrical Performance. Her dance artistry encompasses a fusion of all of these. Jodi is the 2010 Breakthrough Fusion Dance Solo Artist, SF
*Pi Clowns* Breathe with the performers of Pi as they create a world with you. Lean forward and let yourself fall into a land of possibilities. Be awed as your laughs tumble out with childlike sincerity. With the forces of juggling, acrobatics and ballet they will cure the ailments of the universe one laugh at a time. *Dionysia Theatre* Performing a Shakespeare medley with scenes from Midsummer Night's Dream, Othello, a sonnet or two, and some Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet thrown in to boot. Top it all off with some fire spinning and you've got one hell of a troupe!
*DJ Cyril Noir* Take some electro, swing, indie, and techno.throw it in a blender and that might be something close. A special blend of up beats, tech, sailor songs and the spacious horizons at sunset. www.soundcloud.com/cyril-noir
