"The Price" by Arthur Miller
The Jewel Box Theatre will present Arthur Miller's powerhouse play "The Price" on weekends from March 25-April 17. The show will run at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. are scheduled for April 3, 10 & 17.
Written by the author of such American classics as All My Sons and Death of a Salesman, The Price is taut, truthful and deeply engaging. In an overstuffed attic apartment, two long-estranged brothers (one a cop, the other a doctor) agree to meet to sell off what remains of their deceased father's furniture. They quickly find themselves in an emotional renegotiation of the past, revealing their deepest hopes, fears and disappointments.
The Price is widely viewed as one of Miller's masterpieces, and he holds the audiences attention with the skill of a natural born storyteller. The New York Times called the play "one of the most engrossing and entertaining plays that Miller has ever written."
The play is being co-directed by Todd Erler and Ken Jones. Tickets are $16 for adults, or $13 for seniors/students/military. Call the theater at 360-697-3183 or go to www.jewelboxpoulsbo.org for more information.
Handicap entrance and seating are available upon request.
