Taming the Wild Yeast: Proofing and Shaping
So you've got down how to mix up a nice batch up dough... but what do you do next? In this 1.5 hour workshop Mission baker Josey Baker will lead you through a hands-on lesson in how to shape your dough into loaves, let your loaves rise to their full potential, and finally bake them into yummy bread. Josey will explain and demonstrate some free form shaping techniques, the ease of using loaf pans, and participants will have the chance to get their hands dough-y and try it all for themselves. We'll also go over a few of the best methods for baking bread in your home oven. Then, guess what? You get to eat some bread - that was baked during class! YES!
Although this is part of a sourdough bread series, the topics covered in this class are applicable to many other styles of bread.
