123 -- GROUND SERIES presents an evening of contemporary dance
Set in the Old St Francis Cathedral School Gymnasium, 123 is a tapestry of solos, duets, and trios, deciphering the socially abstract themes of self, community, and habitat through movement. Each section of 123 was choreographed by different ensemble members encouraging each dancer/choreographer to follow independent interests. The sections have been braided together into an evening length work resulting in a series of intimate realities set in a larger landscape of humanity. At once animal and pedestrian, wild and urban 123 imagines the wondrous possibilities of an after hours gymnasium.
Presented by Santa-Fe based artist collective and curatorial platform, GROUND SERIES, 123 expresses our continued mission to connect artists and audiences in our region.
